Required Summer ReadngAugust 7, 2016
As we finish out Summer 2016, and prepare for the Fall (and back-to-school), we realize it’s finally time to get to that summer homework and reading list we were given back in May. Some of the books on that list look fun and enjoyable. Others – not so much. Pastors Steven and Chandler have developed a short list for some additional required summer reading. Books you will love. Books that have a message. Books that tell a story you don’t want to miss! August 7 The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Hunger for God) John 6:25 – 35 August 14 The BFG (Things Aren’t Always as They Seem) 1 Corinthians 1:18 – 29 August 21 The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Sacrificial Living) Philippians 2:1 – 8 August 28 One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish (Boundless Nature of the Church) 1 Corinthians 12:12 – 18 Along with these four books, we are asking that you read four additional ones – the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John during the month of August. If you read 3 chapters a day, then you’ll read all four biblical accounts of Jesus’ life, ministry, death, and resurrection!
